Our client, a Discretionary Portfolio Management firm is looking for a Trade Management Analyst with experience in trading Separately Managed Accounts (SMA).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end equity, fixed income and mutual fund trade lifecycles; comprehensive understanding of post-trade control environment
  • Identify, investigate and resolve trade and settlement issue; coordinate with and monitor external custodians, brokers, etc.
  • Provide trading and administration support to international equity, fixed income and mutual fund trading desks
  • Assemble and execute trade programs within all SMA mandates, ensuring accurate and timely execution and reporting in compliance with respective models and internal guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex queries (internal and external); anticipate and avoid potential issues
  • Identify and resolve risks in operational and post-trade processes; develop and implement controls to mitigate risk
  • Work closely with the Trading and Investment teams to ensure the accuracy of trading records.

Education, Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 + years’ experience in a related Investment Management/Financial Services role
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Sound operational and compliance judgment; excellent awareness of risk environment
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize; experience managing expectations and delivery of services
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills; thrive in a team environment
  • Operational mindset focusing on process improvement
  • Experience with Charles River IMS and Omgeo’s Central Trade Manager & Settlement Notification applications is an advantage
  • Solid Knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, as well as proficiency with web-based applications
