Our client, a Calgary-based institutional equity management firm, is looking to add to the marketing team with an Inside Sales Associate.  

Responsibilities:

• Proactively market managed products to financial advisors throughout the broker-dealer community

• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities and capably answer questions about proprietary products and services

• Through sales activities, cultivate and maintain critical relationships with clients and prospective clients within the head office, wholesaler and financial advisor communities 

• Educate advisors on the importance of style consistency and the importance of dividends as part of an overall investment strategy

• Assist advisors in growing their business and client base

• Develop and maintain systems and protocols to achieve an effective and repeatable sales and marketing practice

• Interact effectively with the team to develop an efficient and repeatable client service program

• Maintain superior sales service and professional standards in all interaction with advisors

• Maintain superior sales service with proactive updates pertaining to relevant market developments, trends and activity in managed products

• Understand the competitive landscape as it relates to financial services generally and our client's products, specifically

Requirements:

• University degree

• At least 3 years’ experience in a financial advisory role or client service/business development role specific to financial services

• Knowledge of financial markets and an understanding of the importance of style consistency as it relates to investment management

• Excellent listening and communication skills

• Ability to build credibility and rapport with financial professionals

• Strong computer skills facilitating the organization, prioritization and execution of sales plans

• Ability to develop and communicate solutions to advisors in addressing market conditions and client needs

• Energy, focus and commitment to achieve results

• Strong sales aptitude

• Polished and professional personal presentation

• Ability to work autonomously
